Documents to Check Before Property Possession
Keep allotment letters, payment records, possession terms, approvals and final inspection notes ready.
Possession is when a property begins to feel like a home, but the final paperwork still needs care. Gather allotment or sale documents, payment receipts, agreement copies, demand letters and every written commitment made during booking.
Confirm the final statement of account and understand each charge. Verify registration requirements, maintenance deposits, parking allocation, society documents, utility meter details and the possession letter before signing the handover acknowledgement.
Inspect the unit in daylight and prepare a written snag list. Check seepage, wall finish, flooring, doors, windows, electrical points, plumbing pressure, bathroom slopes, balcony drainage and all promised fittings.
Collect keys, access cards, warranties, manuals and emergency contacts only after recording meter readings and unit condition. A careful handover reduces disputes and helps your Tricity move-in stay smooth.
